Sorrento Networks Expands Presence in the Caribbean

Telenetworks Broadband Solutions, Inc. Resells Sorrento's DWDM solutions to increase market penetration for high speed data services

DENVER — August 23, 2010 — Sorrento Networks announced today that it has signed Telenetworks Broadband Solutions, Inc. as its newest reseller partner. Telenetworks will resell Sorrento's product portfolio throughout the Caribbean. The company provides telecommunications networking solutions for carriers, utilities, service providers, MSOs and enterprises in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and the rest of the Caribbean.

According to Internet World Stats from June 2010, the total population of the Caribbean is 41.6M, with 9.6M Internet users or 23.2% penetration. There is tremendous opportunity for broadband growth throughout the Caribbean sector. MSOs continue to provide double and triple play services to increase broadband usage in the region.

Under terms of the agreement, Telenetworks will resell Sorrento's complete product portfolio, including the GigaMux 3200/6400/6440. Sorrento Networks' GigaMux enables service providers to efficiently deliver a mix of services, supporting a wide range of applications employed by enterprise customers.
