GigaEdge 600

A series of small-footprint CWDM filter modules for low-cost integration

The GigaEdge 600 CWDM filter modules allow products with G.695-compliant CWDM transponder interfaces to be coupled directly into a standard CWDM network and to interoperate. By enabling both hybrid active and passive networks to be implemented, the GigaEdge 600 helps overcoming the normal distance limitations of purely passive CWDM networks. Both dual-fiber-working 620 and single-fiber-working 610 filter options are supported with OADM and Terminal Mux options. Additionally, the GigaMux 610 filter options are environmentally hardened for remote terminal applications.

The GigaMux 600 series offers:

Low-cost integration of the GigaEdge 230 series of products with other vendors' products with colored ITU-T G.695 compliant interfaces
Integration support for Single Fibre Working (SFW) and Dual Fibre Working (DFW) CWDM, mixed PDH/CWDM and mixed CWDM/DWDM networks
A universal 2-slot 1RU chassis into which a range of filter modules may be inserted
Regeneration of the CWDM channels and add/drop channels via transponder or muxponder modules
Multi-protocol client interfaces that meet Service Level Agreement obligations
