Sorrento Networks' GigaMux product family enables carriers, service providers, and enterprises to deliver optical wavelength services from the network edge to the core. With support for up to 80 wavelengths with DWDM, the GigaMux 6400 allows carriers to deploy custom network architectures with the right platform for the job. With a significantly smaller capital outlay and fewer management requirements than other optical networking products, GigaMux delivers what customers need now for increased revenue, accelerated service delivery, and reduced transport costs. Over 3000 GigaMux nodes are deployed worldwide, solving a wide range of carrier application needs.

The GigaMux 6400 features a modular, open slot chassis plus a unique, parallel filter architecture for uniform loss across all channels. A full range of rugged, passive, low-loss filter modules provide genuine “plug-and-play” functionality for single and group add/drop and bypass for 2.5G and 10G networks. Integrated channel balancing in the filters supports foreign wavelength transport, easily allowing users to be added without disrupting existing services and expand the network as customer requirements dictate.
